We are back!!! Week 1 Term 2

Kia Ora everyone.

We are back and ready for learning after enjoying a wonderful two week break!

Desharne and Aieshar were on school camp for the first three days of this week.
They had an awesome time participating in some amazing activities.

For the rest of us it was back to working as a team.

On Tuesday for our Kapa Haka we made pois.
They were quite difficult to make and we need help from Rachel and Mary.

Jasiah and his dad have been really really busy working on a project together.
They have recycled parts off trampolines, old bikes and other bits and pieces and look what they have achieved!!!

Jasiah we are all looking forward to seeing the final result....what you have achieved so far is absolutely amazing!! Well Done!!

Our Art Day!

What fun we had with our art activities this week!

At Monday Meet Up we all made slime which was poured over Mr Anderson!!!
We made the same recipe but used it as an art activity....cornflour drippings....

The patterns that we made were superb. When we held our hand up higher the cornflour mixture was ever so fine making such delicate lines.

Then we made another 'slime' mixture and had fun making patterns outside with it.

'It felt hard when I squeezed it and then soft when it went to a liquid"     Aaron

" I felt like it was going to stick to my hands but it didn't"    Jasiah

It felt like I had gloves on"    Ryan

This weeks chef was Aaron....he chose Hot Dogs.

Thumbs up from the chef!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Rain, rain and more rain....

What does it take to be a Responsible Citizen?

We have been discussing this all term.

The areas that we covered were Community, Home, School and our Environment.

We came up with heaps and heaps of answers....now just to put them into practise and teach others!!!

To put these into practise we have chosen one suggestion from each area  to work on.

We are going to be amazing Responsible Citizens.

Pancake Day!!!

This was Aaron's choice.

A vote was taken on what to have on top of our pancakes.....maple syrup and chocolate chips won hands down!!!

They were very delicious....thanks Aaron!

Only one more week of term to go.....

Keep warm and dry everyone....it isn't very nice out there. Hopefully things are going to improve for the weekend.

On Wednesday we had a whole session of Kaitoro time!!! We were all so excited about this!!!

After finishing our plan, we chose three activities to do then we were able to go to our favourite...Duplo and dressing up.

Jasiah made delicious wraps....they had chicken and lettuce in them

Time for some treatment from a nurse!!!!

Our favourite...
Piklets with chocolate chips is what Gabby chose for baking this week.

Measuring the flour....

Thanks for coming to visit Lauren...

Measuring the milk..

The mixture was a bit runny so we added more flour  to thicken it up

Now for the cooking...

YUM!!!

We all hope that you have a wonderful weekend...relaxing in the sun before the rain comes and visits us again.
