Bon appétit....

Two  gorgeous mademoiselles having a chat.....in French
of course!!!!

We are very sorry that you couldn't join us yesterday as we had such a fun afternoon!

When we arrived at Learning Support we changed into clothes to make us look like someone from France. The boys had moustaches and stripped tops and when they put on their  berets they looked oh so handsome!!!!

I didn't like getting a moustache put on my face

Wearing a beret was fun.

I liked looking at myself in the mirror!!
It was a very pleasant afternoon...I enjoyed dressing up as a frenchman as France is my favourite country.

Bon appétit

The table was laden with food that they enjoy eating in France.....breads, cheese and pastries....and we had sparkling grape juice too!!!!

Croissants
Escargots
Le pain and fromage
Here is some of the delicious french food that we all got to taste.

Dont you wish that you had been there with us?

Enjoy your sunny weekend...see you all next week.

What a glorious Friday!!!

Welcome everyone !!!

Wow what a stunner of a Friday...the sun is just brilliant and the Spring bulbs are starting to rear their heads from their Winter sleepover!

This week we have shown how amazing we are by learning the numbers one to five in French!!
Gayle and Rachel are oh so proud  of us all.

We are also learning to sing the French song Frere Jacques.

On Thursday cinnamon scrolls were on the menu. We learnt how to rub the butter into the flour so that you couldn't see the butter anymore. The end result was very delicious....we wanted more!!!

Rolling the mixture into a rectangle.

Now for the melted butter....

Mixing the cinnamon and sugar....

Spreading the cinnamon mixture....

Nearly there....

Ready for the oven...

Delicious!

Enjoy your weekend everyone....see you next week!!

Week two already!!

We hope that you have all had a wonderful week and have been enjoying the stunning weather...it is starting to feel like Spring is on it's way!!!!

Our art activity this week was splatter painting.

Gayle pinned a sheet on the fence and we got our paint brushes and flicked paint at it.
It was quite a hard action to do and we had to do it one at a time otherwise we would have all been covered in paint!  As it was some of us went home with paint in our hair!!!!
'What colour will I choose?"

First up....

George giving it his best shot!

Rachel was very innovative...she used her brush like a magic wand  casting a spell!!!

Great concentration George!

The two 'Luke's' at work!

Aieshar went home with paint in her hair!

The final product!!

When the paint had dried we put the sheet up on the wall in Learning Support...if you have time come and have a look.....we are very proud of it.

'We're leaving on a jet plane, don't know when we'll be back again.............so come and join us on our trip to FRANCE!!
The team have chosen France as the country that they wish to learn about.
Luke B has come up with a plan...he wants us to learn about the important buildings in France, the food, what they wear and their language .
So it is all go in Learning Support...we have started with learning hello and goodbye and on Wednesday we made the French flag. We had to look up the colours as we didn't know what they were.

Once again welcome back
