End of term....

Kia ora!

Ryan has been very creative and made up his own recipe for a dessert.
It had ice-cream, yoghurt and chocolate in it.
It was meant to have cream added but Gayle forgot to buy it!!

It had to go in the freezer over night so that it could get solid.

Then the next day we ate it....it was so delicious.

Chopping the chocolate....

Melting the chocolate...

Mixing the ice-cream and yoghurt

The mastermind....

Drizzling the chocolate into the patty pan....

The mixture all ready for the freezer...

Frozen!!!

Thumbs up!!!

On Wednesday Paul and Gayle took us to the Northlands Mall.

Gayle gave us all $3.00 in an envelope to spend at the Mall.

We had to be responsible for our own money, remember that we were out representing Waimairi School, have eye contact when purchasing, remembering our manners and being aware that there would be other people at the Mall.

Phew....so much to remember!!!!

Desharne was out to get some bargins so he took his time to look around several shops before finally getting what he really wanted.

Aieshar was really quick with her purchase....she chose pink slime.

Ryan found a stretchy snake...he was so thrilled with it especially when he realised that Gayle doesn't like snakes!!!! He teased her with it!!!

It was really hard work trying to choose something , but we all enjoyed our time at the Mall and Gayle was extremely pleased at how we were such responsible citizens from Waimairi School.

All ready to go and have a spend up!!

What about this?

Searching, searching....

First one to make a decision...

Now to pay for it...

The last of the bargins....
Sharing...Well done Desharne!

We all wish you a safe and happy holiday for these next two weeks.

Wow!! What a stunning day today.....

It is just fantastic to have the sun out and no cold wind. It has been wonderful playing outside in the sun today.

We had another 'Lets Make Music' session this week.....you should come and hear us....we are onto it!!

The beat of We Will We Will Rock You is near perfect...very noisy but nearly perfect.....we are on the way to joining a band!!!!!

And you should see us doing 'air' guitar!!

Getting into the groove....

Those facial expressions....

Ryan has asked if we could do some Irish dancing so we all had a go at that. Sadly Mrs Coleman was busy and she couldn't join us.

We watched Riverdance on the big screen and then it was our turn.....

It wasn't easy but it was so much fun.

Our drama skills are on the improve as well.

We acted out the story of Greedy Cat.....

Mother out shopping...

Greedy cat after tasting the pepper...

Greedy cat in action...

Bargains were to be had at this shop!

Story teller...

We are all really enjoying this term with the  music and drama that we have been doing...we have been doing some fun things but we still aren't too sure if we want to 'perform' to a wider audience.

Enjoy that sun everyone!!!

WEEK 7

Hei from Finland!

Spring has arrived so we all got busy and decorated our tree with pink and white blossom.

We scrunched up crepe paper and then used the staple gun to attach it to the tree.

Have you got any blossom trees at your house?

We were all very proud of Gabby this week.

She got up on stage  at the school speech competition and read her speech out to everyone!

She was amazing...she put so much expression into her speech.

Her speech was titled....The Amazing Afternoon Programme!

Well done Gabby!!! Your a star!!!

We started our drama this week...it was so much fun and Gayle thought that we were all SO good with our acting.  We chose the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

We all had turns at being the narrator, the troll and the three billy goats.

We were all very disappointed when it was time to finish but we will be doing more next week.

Two of the billy goats...

Our first bridge...

Another billy goat...

The troll ...

Bridge number two...

A fierce troll...

Three billy goats...

Today we made pikelets.

As a treat we had whipped cream and raspberry jam on them!!!

The teachers had some cream left over from their morning tea so we borrowed just a little bit!!!

Thank you Mrs Coleman!

Sorry but there are no photos...for some reason the camera won't download them.

We can report that they were absolutely scrumptious.

Have a happy weekend everyone!
