Autumn fun at St James Park!

Tuesday was a stunning Autumn day so what better way to spend it but a walk to St James Park to have some Autumn fun!!

There were leaves everywhere that had fallen from the deciduous trees. They made a crunching sound when we walked on them.

We had SO much fun covering up each other with leaves...you could only see our heads!

Gabby was first up.....

Still more leaves needed for Aaron.....

Hi Aieshar...

Look at Ryan.....

Meagan don't go to sleep!!!!

It was fun putting the leaves into a huge pile.    When it was completed we all jumped into the pile and got covered in leaves.
We looked like leaf monsters!!!!

There were two small boys playing at the park with their mum. They came and joined in with our fun.

On the way back to school we collected leaves and acorns. With the 'hats' of the acorns we made hedgehogs. We used the hot glue gun to make the acorn hats stick to the cardboard.
Then we crumpled up the leaves and glued them around the hedgehogs feet.
Did you know that hedgehogs hibernate in Winter?

Drawing the hedgehog...

We are hoping that Aieshar is having a wonderful time at camp with her class. She will be back tomorrow and will be able to tell us all about it on Monday afternoon for news.

Fingers crossed for this magic Autumn weather to continue for the weekend!!!
